Zakat Al-Fitr

Many people usually don’t know where, how, when, and whom to give it to. So, we held that activity every month of Ramadan in which we teach people about zakat and allow them to contribute from their wealth.

What is Zakat-Al Fitr? Ramadan month culminates in Eid-ul-Fitr. Needy and poor people are included in this celebration. It’s obliged for every Muslim to contribute or pay a certain amount for food or in kind. It’s known as Fitrana. On the fast of the last Ramadan, Muslims must pay Fitrana before sunset. An obliged person must pay it once the Shawal moon is sighted.

Who Should Pay Fitrana

Every person who reaches puberty, sane, not needy, and poor, should have to pay Fitrana. If the family has six members and one breadwinner, he should pay Fitrana for one of his dependents.

How To Measure Fitrana

We can measure Fitrana as three and a half grams of wheat, rice, barley, and edible staple item for every person. But due to the fluctuation, the amount is calculated every year.

Who Deserve It

Deserving people are considered while distributing, but preference should be given to; collectors of zakat, needy relatives, and neighbors.
